Missing Epiphyses
Epiphyses are the rounded ends of long bones. Evidence of gnaw marks can be found on the ends of long bones where epiphyses are missing. Carnivores will sometimes gnaw off the epiphyses of long bones in order to gain access to the nutritious (and delicious!) bone marrow.
